The PLAYground Orchestra

What a wonderful time we had in the hall when the PLAYground Orchestra arrived. The conductor, Paul Frost, was very entertaining, he introduced the children to the different families of the orchestra. The children were fascinated by the sounds of the instruments they also could not believe the size of instruments such as the double bass, the bassoon and the tuba.

Susan McFadden guided the children through some dance moves while they all sang together. The kids listened to classical music from composers such as Beethoven and Bach. It The orchestra of course played some really well known tunes from cartoons like Peppa Pig and SpongeBob. 
We were also treated to songs and music from the world of animated movies like Encanto and, one of our favourite, The Lion King.
