Friday, 10 November 202 https://www.rte.ie/kids/news2day This week we had a Road Safety Speaker from the Road Safety Authority (RSA) in our school to speak with children from 2nd – 6th classes. Children were able to ask questions about road safety and given advice about being safe when walking and cycling to school. Children also received lessons on seat belt safety. We are very lucky to have received some hi-vis jackets and reflective armbands from the Road Safety Authority. We are hoping to receive more hi-vis jackets and armbands during the year and we will distribute these to classes as they become available. Together we can keep our children safe on our roads.

There has been a huge amount of great work that has taken place in our school over the past two years, and we are very proud of our Green Schools Team and our school community! We would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for taking part in our Amber Flag application during the year. We managed to get the Amber Flag which is a great achievement. A special thanks to The Student Council for all their hard work.
The Amber Flag is an initiative which aims to promote positive mental health and well being in our school. It involves the school coming together to create a positive and healthy attitude towards our physical and mental health and wellbeing. The amber flag is awarded upon achieving these aims and we are delighted to say we will be able to fly the flag outside the school! |
