Here at St. Luke’s N.S. we have a fantastic team of 16 Special Education Teachers (SET) and 10 Special Needs Assistants (SNA). Our SET and SNA team work with children with a variety of additional educational, physical and emotional needs.
We use many different methods to ensure that we achieve the best possible outcome for each child we work with, including: team teaching, station teaching, in-class support and one to one support.
We work with many external agencies such as the Dyslexia Association of Irelandand the National Educational Psychological Services, to ensure we put in place the most suitable and best possible scheme for each child. More details about the work of our Special Education Team can be found in the schools Special Education Teaching Policy.
