We have had a wonderful festive December. We enjoyed making beautiful oil pastel hot chocolate drawings in Art.
We thoroughly enjoyed sharing our Christmas concert with our families on Friday the 15th of December.
There was great excitement with our Secret Santa this year and the children were delighted with the thoughtful gifts they received.
We also enjoyed a Santa Dash around the park as well as an entertaining Panto in the Helix on Wednesday the 20th of December. Happy Holidays!

Road Safety Cycling Classes
The 5th classes have been enjoying improving their cycling skills and knowledge of road safety every Thursday morning on yard with our patient and professional coaches Shane and Mick from the Irish Centre for Cycling. They finished off the course with a fantastic park ride in Tyrrelstown Park on a bright Tuesday morning on the 19th of December.
Halloween 2023
The children had great fun celebrating Halloween. We visited the spooky Halloween room created by the parent's association. We followed the spooky Active Schools walkway trail and answered the Halloween themed quiz questions. We entertained our class with spine chilling Halloween narrative writing and enjoyed creating beautiful Halloween pumpkins and haunted houses.
Litter Pick
We went out into our local community on Thursday the 26th of October to do a litter pick. All the children worked hard to clean up the entrance road to the school. Thank you to Ms Burke and to Katie our SNA who helped us on the day. Please help us to keep our community clean by throwing your rubbish in the bin. Well done to all the boys and girls.
Maths Week 2023
The children enjoyed a variety of activities during Maths Week. They paired up with the senior infant children to play maths games. They enjoyed different maths challenges each day in class. They were inspired by Fibonacci's sequence to create beautiful artwork and took part in a maths trail around the top floor with their partners.
Visit to St Mary's Church and Holy Well October 2023
Ms. Cullinan's class joined Ms. Brady and Mr. Lynch's classes on a walking tour to the ruin of St Mary's Church and Holy Well in Mulhuddart on the 4th of October. The sun was shining and children had an amazing day discovering their local history. Well done to all the boys and girls who were excellently behaved and made their teachers and their school very proud.
