Trip to Kilmainham Jail - 3rd May
After learning about the 1916 Easter Rising, the children enjoyed a trip to Kilmainham Jail.
It was extra special to visit the jail on May 3rd, as this was the 106 year wedding anniversary of Joseph Mary Plunkett and Grace Gifford who were married in the chapel there.
The first executions of the signatories also took place there on May 3rd.
